viva las vibes

Whether you're kicking back after a hard day's work or you're just about to face the ugly and dreary everyday routine: Just relax and sit back for a moment. Turn up the speakers, turn down the news and enjoy this clip. It's VLV like you've probably never seen it before. From Josh Clason on Vimeo.

the local hero

I already did several posts on the unique far east flavor in hot rods, kustoms and lowriders. But they never cease to amaze me. Maybe you already know The Local Hero from their fb profile, but if you don't you should check them out on local-hero.jp where they mix killer pics from japan with some great so-cal show coverage.

'64 sunset strip

There are great vintage film clips all over the web. But this one is different. Maybe it's due to the brilliant colors and the point of view resembling the one we remember from our last drive through L.A. in the rental. Or it's simply due to the lack of sound that this video makes you feel like you finally discovered that time machine you always wanted. More magical clips here. (as seen on Hemmings)

sunday slackers

I'm always surprised at how many american cars are around in Switzerland. You just gotta check out the annual "american live" car show to be aware of this... it's crazy. We got there shortly after the gates opened to avoid the crowds and decided to leave around noon. A good idea as usual.

Pascal just finished this beautiful deuce roadster.

The paint still smells fresh.

Tire porn.

I already admired this model a coupe at the Hayride.

Nice '54.

This 1935 used to belong to the Cheaters car club.

I dig the early 60s Ford designs.

Pacers are the next big thing. Trust me.

Switzerland is american car territory.

Love the design of the early Chargers.
